AIASF's New Headquarters Name Competition
Give Our New Home A Name!
AIASF launched online voting to name our new headquarters. To celebrate the fun through the holidays we extended the competition close date to January 6, 2021. We're inviting industry professionals and the public alike to propose a new name for AIASF new home set to open in June 2021!
About AIASF's headquarter : AIASF's new headquarters is envisioned as the premier regional hub where architects, allied professionals, and design enthusiasts can connect and learn about our shared built environment. The downtown area's vibrancy will energize the space and complement the dynamic architectural features that exemplify beautiful, sustainable design and offer a central, expanded venue for events, programs, and exhibitions. The new headquarters will celebrate the city's pioneering and creative spirit while engaging our community in collectively building our future.
AIASF selected the multidisciplinary, San Francisco-based design firm Aidlin Darling Design to conceived the new headquarters. The firm was established in 1997 by Joshua Aidlin and David Darling, and the studio has a broad focus, including institutional, commercial, and residential architecture and furniture and interior design. Their work explores their closely-held conviction that design can enlighten the human spirit by engaging all of the senses. Aidlin Darling Design feels that visual porosity is crucial in raising the community's potential for true engagement. With the headquarters' new location on the ground floor, there is a great opportunity to visually engage with the public through the building's façade.
